Specialist qualifications
Three full qualifications covering the disciplines that sit alongside race coaching. Each is materially longer than an Open Education short course, is assessed, and is recorded on the coach’s ARCI registry entry.
In preparation
Duration, dates and fees will be announced. The curriculum of each qualification is published below.
Specialist qualification
The psychological preparation of alpine ski race athletes, taught as a professional specialization.
Specialist qualification
The physical preparation of alpine ski race athletes, from junior racing to World Cup and Olympic level.
Specialist qualification
Ski and equipment preparation for alpine ski racing, to the standard the discipline requires.
Race coaching requires collaboration across technical, tactical, physical, mental, equipment and medical areas. The specialist qualifications provide depth in three of those areas for coaches and practitioners who carry direct responsibility for them.
A specialist qualification runs alongside the coaching progression rather than inside it. It does not substitute for ARCI Alpine Ski Race Coach, Advanced Race Coach or Elite Race Coach, and it is recorded separately on the coach’s registry entry and credential.
