Faculty and governance
The groups responsible for delivering ARCI education and for governing its standards.
Appointments
ARCI is appointing its International Coaching Board, Course Leaders and Faculty for the 2026/27 season. Individual appointments will be announced in due course, and each profile will be published on appointment. ARCI publishes verified professional history only.
Roles and responsibilities
ARCI personnel are organized into groups carrying distinct responsibilities. Each group has a defined function within the education and its governance.
Board Director
Coordinates the International Coaching Board and ARCI educational standards.
International Coaching Board
The senior technical body responsible for curriculum and coaching philosophy. Members are appointed on coaching expertise and international experience; profiles are published on appointment.
ARCI Course Leaders
Authorized to educate and assess ARCI certification candidates.
ARCI International Faculty
Specialist contributors from international high-performance racing.
Founding Faculty
Recognized contributors during ARCI's 2026–2028 foundation period.
ARCI Masterclass Experts
Invited experts delivering the Masterclass Series.
ARCI Course Leaders
ARCI Course Leaders are the coaches authorized to educate and assess ARCI certification candidates. This is a fundamental ARCI quality standard.
Only appropriately qualified ARCI Elite Alpine Ski Race Coaches who have also successfully completed the ARCI Course Leader Program may independently lead or formally assess ARCI Alpine Ski Race Coach and Advanced Race Coach certification programs.
World Cup experience alone does not automatically grant Course Leader status.
Board membership alone does not automatically grant Course Leader status.
International Faculty status alone does not automatically grant Course Leader status.
An individual may have extraordinary international experience and contribute to ARCI as a Board member or Masterclass Expert without being authorized to assess ARCI certification candidates.
Course Leader Pathway
The Course Leader Program is not another race-coaching qualification. Participants already possess Elite Race Coach-level coaching competence. Its purpose is how to educate, develop and assess coaches within the ARCI system.

Course Leader Levels
Assistant Course Leader
Supports an authorized Course Leader and develops experience delivering ARCI education.
Course Leader
Authorized to lead and assess specific ARCI programs according to their individual authorization.
Senior Course Leader
Experienced Course Leader who may supervise new Course Leaders, contribute to Course Leader education, lead standardization activities, support curriculum development and mentor Course Leaders.
Elite Program Lead
A functional appointment — a selected senior educator who coordinates components of an Elite Race Coach program. Not a permanent Course Leader rank.
Progression through these roles is not automatic. Elite Program Lead is a functional appointment, not a permanent Course Leader rank.
Do not confuse being an excellent athlete with being an excellent coach — and do not automatically confuse being an excellent World Cup coach with being an excellent coach educator.
ARCI Course Leader status specifically recognizes the ability to educate, assess, mentor and develop other coaches.
Appointments
Course Leader authorizations for 2026/27 are being made. Each profile is published on authorization, and a public Course Leader directory follows as appointments are confirmed.
ARCI International Faculty
The International Faculty is separate from the International Coaching Board and from ARCI Course Leaders. Faculty members contribute specialist knowledge without weakening certification standards.
The Faculty May Include
World Cup coaches
Olympic coaches

National-team coaches
Former elite racers with substantial coaching expertise
Race-equipment specialists
Mental-performance specialists
Race-fitness specialists

International Faculty members can contribute specialist knowledge without being ARCI Course Leaders.
They cannot independently lead or formally assess an ARCI certification course unless they also hold ARCI Elite Alpine Ski Race Coach and ARCI Course Leader status.

International Faculty appointments for 2026/27 are being made. Each profile is published on appointment, and ARCI publishes verified professional history only.
